Catastrophic level of air pollution in Delhi
Air pollution is one of the major problem of the world. Humans all around the world are suffering because of the air pollution.
Delhi, the capital city of India, has had the highest level of air pollution this week. The pollution crossed the pollution chart reaching the catastrophic level as the air quality monitors registered the concentration of toxic particles in the air at 50 times the level recommended by the World Health Organization.
The illegal burning of crop stubble by farmers of the neighbouring state, Punjab and Haryana was one the main reason for the record breaking pollution. The supreme court has banned the farm fire but the process has not stopped.
Clearance of field is necessary inorder to plant new crops. The machinery that clears the field is expensive which leads to the burning of crop stubble.
The government together with the farmers have to quickly find a solution to stop further pollution.
