New rules and regulations might be the end of throwaway culture of everyday items such as mobile phones, textiles, electronics, batteries, construction and packaging as the products will be designed and manufactured so they last and repairable if they go wrong.
It means that phone last longer and proves easier to fix.
One green group is calling it the most ambitious and comprehensive proposal ever put forward to reduce the environmental and climate impact of the things we use and wear. The plan is being presented by the European Commission.
